Jordan:

Jordan is still one of those relatively close destinations offering splendid landscapes as well as very rich history and culture. Possibilities of long descents in ORWC are quasi non-existent. But nice treks around and within Petra are possible, towed by a donkey, or, with more difficulties because of sand, in the Wadi Rum desert. Or even, why not spend a few days making the link between Petra and Wadi Rum?
